On our first visit to the Hellenic country, a pleasant surprise awaited us ... it is nothing other than our accommodation in Athens, the Kerameion Apartments. Here we spent 4 nights making base to explore the charms of Athens and neighboring Piraeus.

The name Kerameion It refers to the ceramic workshops that were located in this neighborhood in the classical era. In fact, in the renovation of the building itself, remains of ceramics dating from 600 to 800 BC were found. and unused clay plates, ready to be treated by artisans. In addition, remains of the old aqueduct and other Byzantine buildings were discovered. They can be seen through the glass floor in the inner courtyard of the building.

The Kerameion is made up of several apartments scattered in the building, ours was giant! A large open loft-style space, where the bedroom areas were distributed, a reading room, the dining room and a small kitchen to prepare breakfast. Ours was a studio for two people, but there are also two-room apartments prepared for families or groups of friends.

The bath It is huge, very careful and with all kinds of details. There are towels and accessories.

The truth is that we have felt very very comfortable! The TV with SmartTV has made it easier for us to watch GH on Lety and for me football matches (that's how freaky we are). In addition the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is huge, has air conditioning and heating, hair dryer, coffee maker ..., and there is also an exit to the inner courtyard, with an olive tree and everything!

One of the positive aspects is the zone where, in our opinion, is the best in all of Athens. It is next to the Monastiraki square, the heart of the historic center, and a few meters away there is a small square with many little bars and cafes and with a unique charm! From here you can walk to the areas of Plaka, Anafiotika and the Agora.
