Christchurch February 28, 2015

Our room is messed up: a sweatshirt lying on the floor why nosésillevarlaono, check in papers, passports, flip flops, swimsuit.
And they, the backpacks ready to return to the adventure: yes, the time has come to leave New Zealand!

Tomorrow we expect a plane that will take us to Melbourne, there we will spend the night waiting for another flight, which will take us to Singapore.

We have a lot of morriña from Asia. A lot. Although we cannot be so ungrateful to the country that, for more than 9 months, it has been our home on the other side of the world.
We will always remember New Zealand with special affection. This was the first big slow trip what we did and it marked us: we like it more and more travel quietly, taking time to connect more with the place and its people, to understand and adapt better.
New Zealand he returned us to school and to the student life and the truth, it has been fun as we remembered.
New Zealand we discovered the housesitting, a way of living traveling that simply fell in love and thanks to which we took a few friends.

New Zealand made us realize the dream of a trip on the road: There were 10,000 kilometers we traveled aboard our tapotupotu van.
New Zealand helped us with the nature, it is not that before we were his enemies but it is impossible not to be hallucinating before film landscapes like the Tongariro or the Lake Pukaki.
New Zealand made us too clean waters and although many will not understand why two people with career have to go to the other side of the world and clean the shit of others for us everything makes a lot of sense: nooo, it is not that cleaning poop we enjoy, but if to live traveling we have to (a few times) do it, it is done!
During this (almost) year we bump into kiwis, possum, keas, goats, cows, alpacas and kingfishers and take care of sheep, cats, dogs, chickens, we reach the northernmost point and the southernmost of the country, we bathe under the look of the Milky Way, we woke up next to the sun in the van, we visited lakes that smelled like rotten eggs, we walked on the side of a volcano, we found Maori with a completely tattooed face, we walked through the windiest city in the world, we risked some How many times to be thrown away to hurry the fuel tank, we ate a lot of fish & chips, we had some bad days, we were hobbits for a day, we saw glaciers, white, golden and black sand beaches, jungles that looked like they were taken from Brazil, we became experts in bbq, in noodlesy soup in sushi. And most importantly: we share a little piece of road with great people and really, if we look back we see that these 9 months have been beautiful.

We have many things left to tell you about this country ... as our adventure through the glaciers and the west coast, by the arthur pass, in Christchurch, we want to recommend the 10 best places in New Zealand and let you know of the 10 “worst” places, we will tell you how much it costs to travel in these parts but this ... we will do it from Asia!

Thanks to those of you who have been part of our kiwi-adventure :)
