We start the route to the highlands, a little cuddle In case the motorcycle will hold the ramps to reach Kodaikanal. This city, Kodai for colleagues, is located 2,100 meters above sea level, and is part of the so-called "Western Ghates."

We leave very early, as always, although this time we take it more calmly, we know that in many sections we will not go more than 20 km / h, but arrive, we will arrive. We take our NH-45 empiterna, where we always feel the sea of comfort, and throw miles. After a good km, we have to take the detour to the mountains! It will be 50 km where we will see how the landscape changes and where the suffocating heat of the lowlands will give way to a very nice little breeze, although without going over that heat here for the day it is almost the same!

Already on the rise we are greeted by very cute monkeys, we had already forgotten them! We make several stops, the last one to contemplate a beautiful waterfall, about 10 km from the town. Finally, after a good biker day (it will not be the longest or by any means) we arrive in Kodai with all the energies of the world!

And they went very quickly ... We saw the accommodation that our friends Nikil and Navin had prepared for us and it was automatic ... Rober got a bug that K.O left for the next two days, what a coincidence that it was a weekend of Formula 1 and football! He says that the 51-inch TV does not have a naaaada tube to watch ...

Well, Lety so happy, as long as he doesn't trek through the woods So we spent a few strange days, waiting for the improvement of Rober to be able to be back in Kochi before our train leaves north! We would expect a surprise there ... We will continue to tell you ... Ah, a rate if we left the hotel huh? He gave us time to take some picture and so on (like eating a pizza!) Jiji.

USEFUL INFO

Where to sleep:There are lots of accommodations in the surroundings of Kodai, the truth is that we were a little freaked out by the one they have mounted here. We stayed at the Fairway Inn, a great place run by a wonderful family.

Visits:Well, we only did the Coakers tour, just a kilometer long. The views are fine, but they are not wonderful. Actually, I don't know if it's worth getting here or skipping it to go directly to Munnar, in the Kerala part of the Western Ghates.

Travel:In total it was 200 km that we ventilated in about 5 hours. First we took the NH-45, then we took the detour on Highway 183, also in very good condition. The last km are made on Highway 156, where the ascent begins. It is not in bad condition, although in the passages through some towns there are enough potholes and you have to be careful. As for the ascension, it is quite continuous. About halfway up there is a rest section where the road even descends somewhat. The last km are with a steeper slope, but at no time did the motorcycle show signs of fainting. She is made a champion!
