Day 1: Lloret de Mar - Barcelona Airport - Milan - How to go to Lake Como

As usual in the last trips we have made, today we start the day working, but with that tickle that gives the knowledge that we are a few hours away from starting what will be our trip to Lake Como, which will take us back to Italy, a country to which we return whenever we can (this is the second time this year and in a few months we will go for the third) and at the end of the day we will propose go to Lake Como.
We flew to Milan thanks to EasyJet at 21:50, so we imagine that we will have time to rest and leave home after work, with time to arrive calmly at the airport and even have dinner before boarding.

The journey to the airport of Barcelona We do it quietly, arriving in the middle of the afternoon, where the first thing we get is to park in the airport parking lot, where we will leave the car these days that we will spend on the trip to Lake Como.
As soon as we arrive at the airport, the first thing we do is check the status of the flight, something that always reassures us, especially when we see that it is on time. After approaching the security controls to pass them and thus being able to go directly to dinner, it is that with the time it is and taking into account the time we will arrive in Milan for later go to Lake Como, to the town of Como, which is where we will stay for the next few days, the dinner schedule goes through being canceled, so it is preferable to take advantage and do it directly in Barcelona, so as not to risk running out of energy.

Arriving at T2 in Barcelona

And as it could not be all that easy or so beautiful, and less so in this summer season, in which delays or cancellations are the order of the day, as soon as we arrive at the boarding gates we find that the flight has changed Status: is delayed. But not a few minutes, none of that, the delay is practically two hours, so the exit planned from Barcelona, it will be at 23:50 and the arrival in Milan almost at two in the morning, something that makes us look at ourselves with the face of few friends, take out the laptop and start making some changes on the first day of the trip, in the one we had to go to Lake Como to sleep and in the end we will have to leave it for tomorrow, since arriving at those hours in Milan, it is practically impossible to pick up the rental car and do the almost hour that we have on the way, for the next day to start with the itinerary that we have planned.

It is time to get going and in these two hours we have, make those changes that are expected in this type of situation:
- First you have to book a hotel near the Milan airport, but have a free transfer, since we will not have a rental car.
- The second and most important step is to notify the B&B Al Porticciolo di Sant'Agostino, where we will stay in Como, so that they know that we will arrive later than expected.
- The third point is to reschedule the collection of the rental car in Milan from tonight to early morning. We always rent with Rentalcars and we have to say that the attention has always been 10, even more after this experience, in which we have even returned the proportional part of the rental, apart from helping us and facilitating all the steps. Without a doubt this has only made us confirm again that we can trust them 100%.

Once we have done all this we can breathe easy, sit with a soda in our hand and make a small impromptu dinner with some ham sandwiches that we have brought from home and that remind us of those sandwiches "rubber"We ate a few years ago when we ate dinner or ate at the airport and we weren't planning on taking some from home, with whom we really had a good sandwich.

It is 23:30 when we finally embark on the last flight today in the T2 of Barcelona, to which we climbed practically asleep and where we spent the next hour and a half of the journey that will be our trip to Lake Como.

Although in our case at the end we will make the transfer tomorrow, we want to leave some (the best ones according to our experience) of the possibilities you have for go to Lake Como.
- The closest option is to take a flight to Milan, something that at the same time assures us a pretty tight price, especially if we take into account the many offers that there are to this destination. You have to think that Lago di Como is only 45 minutes from Como, which we can consider "entrance door" to the lake.
If, as it has happened to us, the flight arrives in Milan late at night or late in the afternoon, we believe that the best option is to find accommodation in Milan, for the next day, with all the tranquility, start the tour by Lago di Como.
