1. Piazza del Duomo (Duomo, Campanile and Battistero)

2. Ponte Vecchio

On the river Arno stands one of the most beautiful medieval bridges in the world, the Ponte Vecchio. Its hanging houses on the sides, which have become jewelers and other luxury stores, today, are part of its great attraction.
This was one of the few bridges that were not destroyed during World War II and through which the famous Vasarian corridor crosses, a passage used by the Medicis to go from the Vecchio Palace to the Pitti Palace, without having to go outside.

4. Uffizi Gallery

The Uffizi Gallery contains one of the most important art collections in the world. Built initially as a palace for the Medici, it has become a museum with great works of art by Leonardo da Vinci and other great Italian artists. 6. Piazza and Santa Croce Church

Visiting Piazza Santa Croce and its church, located in the historic center is another of the essential places to visit in Florence. 8. Piazzale Michelangelo

Climbing at sunset walking from the center or by bus to Piazzale Michelangelo is one of the best things to see and do in Florence. From this square you will have the best panoramic views of Florence, in addition to being able to enjoy a unique and somewhat remote atmosphere from the city center.
The square was built as a tribute to the great artist Michelangelo and in the center there are copies of David and the four statues of Michelangelo that are in the Medici Chapel. If you climb a little more, you will reach the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte, also with good views of the city.

9. Academy Gallery

In the Accademia Gallery you will find the most famous sculpture in the world, the David, Michelangelo's masterpiece that shows, in white marble, David before the fight with Goliath.

10. Chapel of the Medici

The Medici Chapel is part of the San Lorenzo complex, which also includes the basilica and is our last recommendation of the 10 places to visit in Florence. Although it does not stand out for its exterior, its interior will leave you speechless, especially when you enter the Chapel of the Prince, an octagonal room of marble and semiprecious stones that is the crypt in which some of the greats of the Medici family rest, the Florence's most powerful family for many years.
Nor can you miss the New Sacristy, designed by Michelangelo.
Visiting hours: Monday to Sunday from 8:15 to 13:50. From April to July they close at 17:00.
