Places to see in the Tower of London

The visit to this castle, included in the list of essential places to visit in London and in the one of the best things to do in London, can take you between two and three hours.
We recommend arriving at the tower early in the morning to visit the castle with fewer people and organized groups.
Among the most prominent places to see in the Tower of London are:

Curiosities

One of the most curious inhabitants of the Tower of London is the crows that the legend tells, if at any time they leave the castle, it will be the end of the monarchy. For that reason and to avoid it, one of the superstitious kings signed a Royal Decree that requires that there be always at least 7 crows inside the castle in addition to appointing a crow master, who is responsible for feeding them and cutting off their ends of the wings so that they cannot leave the walls.
Another of the curiosities are the Beefeaters, former soldiers of the British Armed Forces who act as ceremonial guardians of the Tower of London in addition to taking care of a part of the surveillance and doing free tours in English, in which they tell the most intriguing stories of the castle. Another of the occupations of the Beefeaters is to perform the ceremony of the keys in which the doors of the Tower are closed every day before 10 at night.
In addition to all these curiosities, the Tower of London has "noticed" the presence of paranormal phenomena such as that of the ghosts of former prisoners of the Tower, including that of Ana Bolena or that of Chancellor Thomas Becket.
